HOW IT WORKS

LAL runs the majority of its CELTA courses in Torbay, England, a purpose built training centre with up-to-date facilities, providing an excellent learning environment for trainee teachers.

Courses are of 4 or 5-week courses, with the additional opportunity to follow an optional pre-CELTA Language awareness course.

Course Structure

  • 50 hours of input sessions on all basic aspects of planning and teaching.
  • 6 hours of teaching practice for each trainee, with students of different nationalities.
  • Daily detailed feedback and discussion sessions with tutors.
  • 6 hours of observation of qualified and experienced teachers.
  • Individual tutorials to ensure you are getting the most from the course.
